Depending on your application and the tasks involved, you can choose from various designs and types of turbo couplings (fluid couplings). In the following, please find an overview of the individual design codes.
For further information on the technology, function and application of the respective design, please use the link to the product page.
Hydrodynamic coupling as start-up and safety coupling with sealed working chamber complete with operating fluid. Application-related adaptations of the transmission behaviour occur by design-based internally controlled fluid distributions or flow manipulations.
Hydrodynamic variable-speed coupling. The filling level of the operating fluid in the coupling is determined by the position of a scoop tube that protrudes radially into the working chamber. During operation, the fluid level can be modified steplessly between "full" and "drained." As a result, the speed of the driven machine can be controlled precisely and dynamically.
Voith geared variable-speed couplings are a combination of a hydrodynamic variable-speed coupling and one or two gear stages in one common housing. Depending on the application or the coupling design, the input speed is stepped up or reduced.
Variable-speed planetary gear Vorecon® designed for outputs > 1000 kW. It combines hydrodynamic variable-speed components (variable-speed coupling, torque converter, brake) with a superimposed planetary gear.
